I love the idea of ‘Blur’ and whilst redness, pigmentation and blemishes need coverage, I think it’s a good bit of blurring that’s required for lines, wrinkles and open pores. I have been playing with L’Oreal Paris Nude Magique Blur Cream – here’s how I got on.

L’Oreal Paris Nude Magique Blur Cream is a tinted product that comes in 2 shades – light to medium and medium to dark. I have the darker shade which obviously isn’t the right one but I popped on a bit of fake tan first and  hoped for the best!
Here’s what it looks like straight out of the tube:

It’s a kind of whipped, moussey texture and you can feel the silicone in it the second you touch it. I don’t mind a bit of silicone but I have to say, I am loving it less these days and it sometimes makes me feel that my skin can’t breathe. That aside, I soon got used to the feeling of this on my skin, once that kind of ‘slip and slide’ feeling settled in.
Here’s the L’Oreal Paris Nude Magique Blur Cream applied to the right side of my face as you see it in the photograph.

It definitely does a very good job on the appearance of enlarged pores which is rather impressive, and with a layer of foundation on top, they would be pretty much invisible. I can’t see too much difference with lines, but then they are not really showing up much on the naked side so it is hard to say.
All in all I think it’s pretty good, although if you hate the feel of silicone, you won’t be a fan. I think I’d use this just on the places where my pores are larger – on my nose, the surrounding areas and forehead – under foundation on occasions when I want a more flawless perfected look. And I think less is more because you can feel the silicone less and it still blurs very well.
L’Oreal Paris Nude Magique Blur Cream is available now for £9.99 at Boots, Superdrug and Feel Unique. Both Boots and Feel Unique are running offers right now which you’ll see via the links above.

  • It actually looks great and you can definitely see a difference. I too am not a fab of silicone in products. Clogs my pores terrible plus I don’t get why they still use silicone when they can use silica which is plant based.
