Yay! L’Oreal have launched a micellar water that costs just £4.99 and it is really good! I 100% prefer it to Bioderma and I think it is even more effective at removing eye makeup and mascara than my previous favourite from Avene.

L’Oreal Micellar Water Cleanser – 3 in 1 Purifying Solution

It’s full name is the L’Oreal Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution, and it has already seen lots of fashion week backstage action with makeup icon Val Garland at Julien MacDonald and Temperley London.
It made really fast work of removing my makeup this evening, which included some rather heavily applied L’Oreal False Lash Flutter Mascara. I just held the cotton pad over my eyes for about 5 seconds and then swept the makeup away.

The 3 in 1 actions means that it cleanses, tones and also hydrates the skin. I have tested out the hydrating claim by not applying moisturiser sinced I used it 2 hours ago and my skin doesn’t feel dry at all. In terms of cleansing power, I just swiped an Elemis toner soaked cotton pad over my skin and nothing came off.
Apparently this is thanks to particles that the L’Oreal Micellar Water contains that attract makeup, oil and impurities and lift them away without the need for rubbing. It has been tested on sensitive skins too and came up trumps.
I am a double, sometimes triple, cleanser so I wouldn’t rely on this alone, but it will most certainly be included in my cleansing routine.
L’Oreal Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution costs £4.99 for 200mls and is coming into stores round about now. I haven’t seen it online yet, but I heard on instagram that it has been spotted in Tescos already!

  • oohh this looks cool, if you say it’s better than Bioderma I might try it 🙂
You always here loads about Bioderma but I’ve never been that interested in it because of how much of a hassle it is to find. This will be easy to get hold of so I don’t really have an excuse not to try it haha

  • Yes bought it in asda, it is by far the best make up remover i have ever used!

  • 2 for £4.99 in superdrug right now, used 1st time tonigh, super effective at the face make up but still struggled with mascara, have never found a cleanser or eye make up remover that does effectively remove mascara yet!

  • Definitely go and find this in Superdrug- £4.99 for two, a total bargain. Picked it up on Saturday and can’t stop using it now! xx
