I was super excited that learn that Lisa Eldridge has launched her own lipstick collection and literally couldn’t resist popping the trio into my basket. Here’s a look at the Lisa Eldridge True Velvet Lipstick Collection. I have photos and swatches of all the shades.

These lipsticks are pretty special because not only do they have a velvet finish on the lips, but they also have surface velvet effect on the actual bullet. It is an extremely unique touch and absolutely stunning.

The lipstick formula itself is so good. It is intensely pigmented with excellent one-swipe payoff, and the texture is super creamy and hydrating – really comfortable and lightweight on the lips. It delivers a matte finish with a soft sheen which is super flattering. In fact, it really does resemble velvet fabric in motion.

The collection is comprised of a trio of reds, each very beautiful in their own right. I am most drawn to to the orange-red, called Velvet Morning, but I will definitely wear them all.
Lisa Eldridge True Velvet Lipstick Shades & Swatches
- (L) Velvet Ribbon – vibrant, universal, classic neutral/blue red
- (M) Velvet Morning – hot and fiery, bright orange/red
- (R) Velvet Jazz – muted, earthy, brick red

Each shade glides onto the lips with instant colour payoff. It’s pretty easy to apply because everything feels effortless, and the colour is longwearing, but doesn’t dry out on the lips.

As I said, Velvet Morning is my fave because I am a sucker for an orangey red.

The Velvet Ribbon shade is the perfect classic red and will suit all skin tones.

Finally, Velvet Jazz is super old-school glam and harks back to the stars of the silver screen. It has a real vintage vibe.

You can buy the Lisa Eldridge True Velvet Lipstick shades individually for £26 or as a trio with a super cute velvet cosmetics bag for £75. Currently, absolutely everything is sold out but more stock is expected soon. They are as gorgeous to look at as they are to wear!

I’m just loving orangey reds lately after visiting Tokyo where so many of the girls wear coral lipstick, so I’m loving the Velvet Morning one you’ve shown.
I’m wearing a Nyx one at the moment – Orange County, which is also amazing and very pigmented.
Thanks for the share!
