Well if there was ever a product name that piqued my interest then it’s the Laura Mercier Candleglow Soft Luminous Foundation. Candleglow on my skin is the stuff of dreams so I was so excited to try this. Here’s the low down with shade swatches and before and after photos.

So I have read that Laura always dreamt of creating a foundation that mimicked the effect that a candlelit room has on the skin. Yes!!

I love the texture of this formulation. It is creamy yet light, feels hydrating on the skin, and blends in really easily.

(In case you’re interested, blush is MAC Faerie Whispers in Spellbinder, and the lip is Bobbi Brown Extra Lip Tint).

I am liking this. It has a similar finish to the new YSL Touche Eclat foundation but lighter in coverage and not so long lasting (because it’s sheerer), and I love that kind of softly glowing finish. It’s really good on cancelling out redness, evening the skin tone and blurring the appearance of enlarged pores. Thumbs up from me!

Laura Mercier Candleglow Foundation is £35 and is available HERE

  • I recently purchased this and love it. Beautiful finish, buildable and glowy without being too dewy.
