I love a new big thing and it seems that cushion foundations are just that!! If you haven’t heard of it yet, you definitely will and the Lancome Miracle Cushion Foundation is the first western luxury product of its kind on UK shores. Take a little look!

So! The Lancome Miracle Cushion Foundation is all about bringing a cutting edge, high tech product in an easy to use piece of makeup. As you have probably guessed, it’s an Asian-inspired product and Lancome are inviting us to “think differently and to forget everything you ever knew about complexion make-up”.

OK!! I think what we are looking at here is the ultimate compromise between what we see as foundation and BB/CC creams.

Lancome Miracle Cushion Foundation comes in a compact and you might think it’s a powder foundation but it most certainly isn’t. Inside the compact is where all the cushion action is happening! It’s a soft and bouncy affair and when you touch it you feel the foundation, which is cool to the touch.

Lancome Miracle Cushion – The Cushion?

This is a sponge that has thousands of little air holes that allow the fluid to absorb into it. It has a large chamber inside which contains the fluid which is then released when the sponge is touched. The air in the cushion allows to formula to be dispensed evenly every time the applicator presses the cushion.
Lancome Miracle Cushion – The Pad Applicator

The applicator has been designed to work perfectly with the cushion and the fluid. It has a super smooth texture that delivers the right amount of product every time. It feels beautiful on the skin.
Lancome Miracle Cushion – The Shades
It comes in 6 shades which promise to work with the fairest to the darkest skin tones.

Lancome Miracle Cushion Before & After Photos

After:

As you can see, it is completely invisible coverage. It feels absolutely beautiful on the skin, and when I touch my skin with this applied, it feels silky and soft like it does post-facial. I think a lot of people are going to love this. When I first saw shade 02 I thought it looked too dark for my pale skin but it certainly has delivered the perfect match and the finish is flawlessly light, with a soft dewiness. It’s beautiful.
It was also really easy to apply and I can see this being a handbag life saver for maintaining flawless skin on the go. Love it!
Lacome Miracle Cushion launches February 2015 for £29.50. It is refillable and the refills cost £19.50. Find Lancome at Boots, John Lewis, House of Fraser.
