There is a brand new Skincolor de la Mer collection and the star of the show is this absolutely beautiful liquid foundation. Here is everything you need to know about the brand new La Mer Soft Fluid Long Wear Foundation. I have swatches of 14 shades and before and after photos for you.
This new collection is all about the last step in skincare and the first step in colour becoming one. I adore the idea of a hardworking foundation, so this is very exciting to me. The goal is La Mer skin – healthy, luminous flawlessness. Who in the world doesn’t want that?
La Mer Foundation Features

This foundation is based on the brand new La Mer Moisturising Soft Lotion (which you can read about HERE). It is a beautiful texture and so this colour product is the foundation version of this new innovation. It also uses two brand new ferments.
The Soft Velvet Ferment
This has been formulated to renew and re-texturise the skin and features a high performance velvet algae. It works to soften the look of skin and enhance translucency.
The Regenerating Ferment
This is a powerful plant stem cell blend of algae and marine peptides formulated to combat the visible signs of ageing. It hydrates and plumps reduces the appearance of lines and wrinkles.
La Mer Soft Fluid Long Wear Foundation Swatches
There are 14 shades in the new collection. I don’t have the full names of each shade right now but will update as soon as I can.
Before & After Photos
I used shade 22 neutral:
This foundation gives the skin a beautifully luminous finish. It mimics the skin and delivers a very natural looking flawlessness. The texture is super lightweight yet intensely hydrating and it instantly softens the look of lines and minimise the appearance of pores. It covers redness and evens out my pigmentation – particularly on my top lip. Without even considering the long term anti-ageing skin benefits, what more could you want from a foundation? I think this could be the beginning of a long love affair!
Unsurprisingly, it is pricey. La Mer Soft Fluid Long Wear Foundation is £80 and launches October 2016. There’s also a beautiful concealer which I will have more news on soon. Find La Mer online HERE.
