I have a serious soft spot for La Mer (the renewal oil is one of the only products I have used up in the last year – it’s incredible) and the makeup is really coming into its own. Here’s the low down on the brand new La Mer Sheer Pressed Powder.
La Mer Renewal Oil
I have only really been getting into powder recently, because I hate cakiness and love glow but I have learned that the right powder can do absolute wonders! But before I get on to the powder, and whilst I am still on the topic of glow, I have to just talk about the La Mer Renewal Oil that I mentioned at the top. I don’t actually know how I haven’t ever gotten around to featuring it but I am truly obsessed and am on my second bottle. Probably because I haven’t stopped using it long enough to write a about it!

It’s expensive but I honestly think you’d love it so much that the dent in your bank account would hurt less! If you are thinking about it, you can pick it up this week for £15 off HERE. Just a thought!! Sorry…

I will do a full review on that soon because it deserves it, but basically it is so calming, soothing, hydrating, smoothing and firming and it even tackles the patches of eczema I sometimes get on my hairline. It’s the ultimate glow-giver and it’s amazing on the tops of cheekbones or lightly pressed all over the face to bring your makeup back to life. Wow! I didn’t plan that! I should get back to the powder!
La Mer Sheer Pressed Powder Features
So this super fine, light as air powder has that gorgeous signature La Mer smell that makes you feel like it is doing good things to your skin. And it is, because every La Mer product is infused with the Miracle Broth that heals and nourishes skin.

- Healthy-looking, matte finish
- Sets to perfection
- Soft and velvety texture
- Seamlessly blends away the appearance of imperfections
- Adds weightless coverage
- Formulated with Miracle Broth and raw ocean clay
- Skin stays comfortable and shine-free
- Light-reflecting pigments create a soft blurring effect
- Delivers a multi-dimensional look that’s matte but not flat
- Available in 4 shade options

It’s a super fine, ultra light powder that softly sets your foundation and perfects the appearance of your skin. It’s great for softly taking down shine and minimising the look of pores. Because it’s so light, you can touch up during the day without it looking dry or cakey. The super slim compact fits into a tiny space in your handbag.

I have the La Mer Sheer Pressed Powder in Light 12 which perfectly matches my Soft Fluid Long Wear foundation in Shell. There’s also a universal Translucent shade and Medium and Medium Deep. The powder brush above is insane by the way!

When you review the Oil, please can you post the full ingredients list? Thank you
Yes I’ll try to find them x
Can you please specify where exactly in your daily routine you apply the oil? I have it too, along with the la met revitalizing serum and other brand cream. Are you applying it instead of a serum or a cream?
Hi there, I actually use it after serum and before moisturiser. Sometimes I use it during the day over makeup to just freshen everything up. Or I mix it into my foundation x
