I have been really looking forward to writing this review because I did not expect to like this mascara at all. I wanted to try it out of curiosity but thought it was going to be very odd indeed. I was pretty shocked to find that I actually really love it! Who knew?! Here are my thoughts on the L’Oreal Miss Manga Punky Mascara.

So it was obviously the word ‘punky’ that drew me in and turned me off at one and the same time.  There are lots of things I want for my lashes – long, volumised, curled…the list goes on, but punky isn’t one of them. However, having tried it, maybe I do want punky. Again…who knew?!

The very first time I wore this mascara I went backstage at the Sibling show at LFW and Katie, my friend, and head manicurist for Butter London, asked me what mascara I was wearing as soon as I saw her. She said it looked amazing. She’s also an amazing makeup artist so I value her opinion.  I already thought I liked it but that sold me. I have been wearing it rather regularly ever since!

L’Oreal Miss Manga Punky Mascara Features

L’Oreal Miss Manga Punky Mascara Wand

It’s an odd looking wand but absolutely brilliant for covering the lashes in one swipe. It kind of groups the lashes together as it lengthens and volumises which you’d imagine would look like clumps but it just doesn’t for me. The formula is nicely fluid and glossy, then sets quite quickly. Lashes look defined, and extended with a nice dramatic effect. Let me show you.

I really like this a lot and I think if you like quite an obvious and dramatic lash look, you maybe will too. And it has been a little lesson to me to not judge a book by it’s cover. If these are punky lashes then I definitely like punky lashes!

L’Oreal Miss Manga Punky Mascara costs £8.99 at Boots where there’s currently a 3 for 2 deal.

  1. It looks lovely on you! The brush isn’t like other brushes. If I saw it in store I probably wouldn’t have bought it, but from reading your review it looks better on that I first thought. You’re right not to judge off just what it looks like!

  2. I bought this a month back, and I prefer it to EVERYTHING, YSL, Dior, DJV Beautinizer which was my holy grail, every other mascara you can think of, this is the king. Team it with Estee Lauder little black primer and you’ve won. Proper dolly lashs.
