The focus on brows doesn’t seem to be shifting which is excellent news as I need all the help I can get in that department. I am desperately trying to make brow grooming part of my daily routine, and slowly getting there. For years, I ignored them, but it is perilous behaviour! Today I’m looking at the brand new L’Oreal Brow Artist Genius Kit, which is probably one of the best budget kits I have tested. Here’s the lowdown!

So the L’Oreal Brow Artist Genius Kit is a really neat little number with a extremely compact edit of everything you need to get those brows looking proud. It comes in 2 shades – light to medium and medium to dark – and I have the lighter of the 2 options.

There’s a handy little insert that tell you exactly what you need to do to master your brows. I love this because with, makeup application, I like to take advantage of all the help I can get.

The kit contains a really decent pair of mini tweezers and also a double ended applicator that has a firm angled brush on one end, and a spooley brush on the other.

On the left is a pigmented wax which you apply with the angled brush and it tones into the natural colour of your brows and defines the shape. It also fixes the hairs into place.

The powder shade is then applied using the same angled brush and again this promises to give the right amount of pigment payoff to match your natural brow shade. You then brush through with the spooley (which is a nice firm one), and you are all good to go!

Now I am so not good at brows, so bear this in mind, but I actually found this pretty easy to use.

The colour comes up a little warm on camera but it is actually much more cool-toned in real life and I really like the results. You can fill in gaps very naturally and neaten everything up and it stays in place all day. Lovely!
Really impressed. L’Oreal Brow Artist Genius Kit is out now and costs £9.99. Find it at Boots where there’s a 3 for 2 offer on L’Oreal.
