I love trying new High Street mascaras. I recently discovered the new L’Oreal Bambi Eye False Lash Mascara and have been loving it. Check out the photos.
I have always had good experiences with L’Oreal Paris mascaras, and most recently, Paradise has been my favourite. I am about to embark on a L’Oreal Bambi Eye phase because I have fallen in love with this newbie.
What is L’Oreal Bambi Eye Mascara?
The new product has been made to give us the ‘doe eyed look’ and get all those Twiggy vibes. I love that kind of lash look, so I couldn’t wait to try it out:
- Short bristles at the centre of the mascara wand grip lashes in an exaggerated curl
- Long bristles elongate from root to tip for noticeably longer lashes
- Buildable black velvet formula gives a delicately curled look
- Wand combs and lifts the lashes
Before & After Photos
I really love the wand on this mascara and it’s brilliant at grabbing and combing the lashes, whilst evenly distributing product without clumping. I find it really easy to apply.
Here are my lashes with nothing on them:
Here is a quick first coat:
And here’s another good coat on top of that:
You can really build it up and the formula locks in the curl. It isn’t the most flexible of formulas – you can feel it on the lashes – but I am ok with that. The lashes aren’t super crispy, but not super soft either. More importantly, although it isn’t waterproof (getting caught in torrential rain did lead to some movement under my eyes), it is very long wearing and I haven’t noticed any flaking or smudging.
And considering the rain shower I was caught it was like standing under a strong shower, I was pretty impressed that it stayed put. All I needed to do was tidy up the under eye area a little, and it all looked really good again. It’s a big thumbs up from me.

Was it difficult to remove? Always looking for a good mascara.
I haven’t really noticed how easy it is to get off which I think means it’s easy!! xxx
Do you think it’s good for contact lens wearers? Their marketing info mentions fibres which can cause problems.
Not really sure. It’s not at all flaky if that helps?
I ‘m finding this hard to remove.. what do you use please?
a cleansing oil or balm works well x
Hi! Do you know if this is coming to the US or if it’s similar to any of the other L’Oréal US mascaras? I’d love to try this. It looks fantastic
I don’t have any US info sorry xx
Hello, Ree. Would you choose Loreal Bambi eyes mascara over Maybelline Total Temptation? Or, vice versa.
Thank you so much!!
they are both really good. I think the Maybelline is heavier and more dramatic x
