KIKO is one of the affordable makeup brands that I really rate. They bring out some really nice quality products and there are some wonderful pieces in the brand new KIKO Life in Rio collection for summer 2014. Here’s a look.

KIKO Life in Rio Essential Bronzer |
I do love a big fat bronzer and the KIKO Life in Rio Essential Bronzer (£16.90) is certainly big! The powder is very finely milled so it feels really creamy and is super blendable. It creates a lovely finish on the the skin which is matte with soft luminescence – really flattering. It comes in 2 shades, mine is the darker one 200 Warm Melange. The only thing I am not keen on is the vanilla smell that is just a tiny bit sickly, but you can only smell it when you’re applying, and not after thank goodness. Vanilla makeup lovers won’t mind!
The KIKO Life in Rio Sun Lovers Blush (£14.90) is equally lovely:

Again you are getting a lot of product for your money and this shade – 01 Ipanema Beach – is super flattering with bronze, peach and pink tones with a lovely sheen to really highlight the cheeks too. I think you could probably skip bronzer with this one, if you wanted to go for a simple look with a warm flush of colour. This has the same vanilla scent.
I think the KIKO Creamy Touch Eyeshadow duos (£9.90) are possibly my favourites from Life in Rio.

They are super creamy, but firm enough to keep their shape. You get a short bit of play time to blend and smudge, and then they set fast and won’t budge. Perfect for summer eyes. They don’t pull on the skin as they apply and are super easy to work with. Love these! There are 6 shades – I have 101 (cream and chocolate) and 103 (turqoise and deep brown).
Here are the KIKO Tropical Heat Waterproof Eyeliners – £7.90.

I really like these 2 shades – 01 & 06. There are 6 in total. These are your standard liquid eyeliners with a nice fine brush for precise application. They don’t move once set and the colours are nice and intense.
KIKO Exotic Shine Lipsticks next! (£8.50)

These are shades 03 and 06 – there are 4 more colours to choose from. They feel moisturising, are very pigmented with a nice soft shine. They have good grip on the lips so won’t slide around.
Finally the nails – KIKO Sun Show Nail Lacquer (£5.90).

These are super vibrant shades – I have 471 and 475 – that contain gold pearl to add lots of shimmery light. They’re really pretty.
And that rounds up all the bits I have from KIKO Life in Rio. The collection laucnhes April 2014.
