The word potion gets me every time and so I have been trying out the new KIKO Eyes Potion Perfecting Eye Serum and getting on really well with it. If you like a bit of brightening and radiance boosting then the new skincare items from the KIKO Rebel Romantic collection are worth checking out. There’s also a very interesting sounding Glowing Potion Perfecting Serum. My ears pricked up for that too!

So this is a eye contour highlighter that promises to deliver a sculpting effect to the skin.
KIKO Eyes Potion Perfecting Eye Serum Features
- Uses highlighting microspheres to brighten the eye area
- Hydrating complex to tone the skin and minimise puffiness and darkness
- Natural extracts defend against external aggressors such as pollution and stress
- Naturally-derived sugars stimulate collagen production to firm the skin
- Caffeine stimulates cell metabolism and improves micro-circulation to reduce puffiness

Now I have to say, I haven’t really tested the long term skincare element of this, but what I love about this is the instant effect it has. It really plumps and smooths the eye area, particularly if the eyes are on the dehydrated side. It is an absolutely brilliant primer if you are looking to build up a layered highlight or go for the strobing effect that everyone is talking about at the moment. You don’t just have to use KIKO Eyes Potion for the eyes, and you can treat it like the first step highlight for the whole face.

The effect reminded me of Origins Ginzing Eye Cream. This might be a great cheaper alternative if it is as good as the Origins!
