I was super excited when I found out that Kiko were launching a cushion foundation along with their Spring 2015 collection and now I have a sample for us to take a closer look at! Check out my photos and before and afters with the Kiko CC Cream Cushion. ORDER IT ONLINE HERE.

I think Kiko have been pretty clever to jump on to this trend so quickly as it is set to be huge. The Lancome Cushion is beautiful (see it here) and I know I’ll be using that a lot, but at £29.50, it isn’t going to be for everyone. Now the Kiko CC Cream Cushion sysyem looks very similar indeed and it comes in at £15.90.

Just to recap on the cushion idea. It is basically as easy and very portable way to carry liquid foundation or, in this case, CC Cream. It looks like a powder compact – but instead of a powder, it actually a sponge with lots and lots of airhole. Inside the sponge is a cavity that carries the liquid and when you touch the surface, out it comes on to the pad applicator.

As I said, the Kiko CC Cushion is very similar in packaging to the Lancome number.
Kiko CC Cream Cushion – Features:
- Innovative lightweight CC Cream
- Airy Veil of Coverage
- Softer, more even complexion
- Hides imperfections effortlessly
- Available in 6 shades

There is no more information on the formula than this which makes a proper comparison with the Lancome Miracle Cushion difficult as much of the emphasis on the Lancome product is the skincaare and anti-ageing properties which I can definitely feel on the finish of my skin.

And here it is with the rest of my makeup (apart from lips):

I have shade Warm Rose which I though was going to to much too dark for me. I probably do really need a lighter shade as this gives my skin quite a lot more warmth than it naturally has, but I think it does actually work. It clearly has an element shade adaptive technology at work here.
It feel pleasurable to apply – very cooling and refreshing, and it feels like it is hydrating the skin. My skin doesn’t feel as soft and smooth as it does with the Lancome product but then I’d imagine that’s down to the higher quality skincare ingredients used. In terms of finish, the Kiko is a bit dewier which I actually quite like although I feel I’d need to powder the T-zone. It also offers more coverage than the Lancome one.
I am really please with this! I love the fact that Kiko has managed to bring us an affordable cushion so quickly. If you are looking for more skincare and have the extra budget then the Lancome is a superior product, but it really should be for nearly twice the price. I think this is a brilliant option and I highly recommend you give it a try.
The Kiko CC Cream Cushion launches in March 2015 (£15.90) along with the rest of the Spring collection, Generation Next. ORDER IT ONLINE HERE.

I really love the look and sound of this! I’ve never tried Kiko products before but have been tempted for a while – think I’ll make this my first buy x
