2021 is a big year for lashes so far and this new launch is  a great one! Here’s the low down on the Kevyn Aucoin Indecent Mascara that I have been testing. Check out my review and before and after photos.

I am always excited to try new products from Kevyn Aucoin because it’s such a creative, high performance brand. I absolutely love their Glass Glow Illuminator – it is definitely one to check out if you like dewy skin.

My Review

I really like the wand. It’s kind of a traditional conical wand and I find it really easy to use. You can use the tip to place every lash exactly where you want it, and I find it really good to grab those outer-most lashes for a really fluttery look.

I always get mascara on my lids when I apply it, as I have hooded lids, however, I found this to be minimal with this wand and formula. The texture is lovely and creamy, and it covers the lashes effortlessly.

One coat lengthens straight away and it gives a really pretty look. The second coat builds the volume really nicely, and I find that it layers easily without clumping. What I really love about it is the super black, glossy colour that’s really flattering. Also the formula gives my lashes a lovely curl (without the use of curlers) and they stayed up.

In terms of wear, I didn’t experience any smudging or flaking, even though I wore the mascara on a completely unset base. So I am really impressed with how well it lasted.

How to remove the Kevyn Aucoin Indecent Mascara

This isn’t a tubing mascara and requires regular makeup removal, which I am completely happy with. I’m not really sure why people are so obsessed with tubing mascaras at the moment. I used the gorgeous Plenaire Rose Jelly Cleanser* (review soon) and it came off beautifully.

If you are looking for a tubing mascara, check out the Victoria Beckham mascara. It’s a more subtle option, and for the record, I prefer the KA.
