When I first heard about the Kate Somerville KateCeuticals Resurfacing Overnight Peel in a sneak peek on zoom with Kate herself, I was so excited because it promises smoother, renewed skin after just two weeks. I have been testing it out for a month and it’s fantastic. Here’s what you need to know.

My Review
As I said at the top, I have been testing out the Kate Somerville KateCeuticals Resurfacing Overnight Peel two, sometimes three times a week for a month and I absolutely love it. The texture is beautiful and it’s such a simple night time treatment that takes no time at all.
How To Use It
You simply cleanse the skin and apply. I tend to wait about ten minutes to ensure my skin is perfectly dry before applying the Peel as I find I get the best results this way. I apply a fine layer all over the skin, and that’s it.
It feels gentle and hydrating on the skin, and it sinks in really nicely so skin isn’t left sticky or tacky. You can leave it there and go to sleep and let it do its work. This is what I tend to do.
However, if you are looking to boost hydration, allow the peel to sink in for 30 minutes or so, then apply the KateCeuticals Total Repair Cream which is glorious.
The Results
You wake up with smooth, luminous skin and I haven’t experienced any irritation in the slightest, in spite of the powerful combination of retinol, niacinamide and glycolic.
The Retinol turns over the skin cells, and the Glycolic goes in deep to exfoliate those skin cells over night. Then the Niacinamide really helps to deal with texture and unevenness. Because this is a strong peel, the Ceramides are in there to really repair the skin as the peel is working. This means no down-time.
It really does work to resurface the skin and give the most amazing glassy look. It’s amazing on the appearance of my pore size and my skin just looks so smooth and even.
Top Tip
My favourite trick is to use ExfoliKate Intensive the next morning which sloughs away the dead skin cells that the intense renewal and exfoliation have created overnight. This combination literally delivers glass skin.
