Juvederm Volite Hydration Treatment Review* – The Glow Giver!

In the colder months, I find it a constant battle to keep my skin hydrated and smooth. Despite my combination skin type, the cold weather and central heating blend is generally a recipe for dry, flaky skin that my makeup struggles to sit nicely on. So, I decided to give the Juvederm VOLITE treatment a go which promises to kit your skin out with what could be described as its very own hydration magnets for smooth plump skin. Here’s how I got on.

Before I get into my experience of Juvederm VOLITE, let me give you the lowdown on what the treatment involves.

Hydration is a big thing for me and I make sure that I layer up my products to try and lock in moisture and keep my skin looking and feeling smooth. But with environmental factors, stress and a hectic pace of life, it can be a bit of an uphill battle. I was so interested to give the treatment a go so that my skin’s hydration starting point is at a higher level before I even begin my skincare.

About my treatment

I was super excited to try Juvederm VOLITE out because I had read a lot of good things about it and know people that have raved about the treatment. Also, full results are delivered in just one treatment and it’s a quick and easy process. With the help of numbing cream, I found the pain fairly minimal. I must say though, I get so excited at the thought of flawless skin that my adrenaline seems to pump my own anaesthetic around my body!

A nurse applied the anaesthetic all over my face before Jude, my practitioner at the PHI Clinic on Harley Street, carried out the treatment.

Jude divided the treatment area into boxes on my face using a white pencil (see photo) and then administered the treatment through a series of tiny injections of HA across the surface of my face. I was conscious of tiny pricks, but I didn’t experience any pain and it was all over in about 10 minutes.

There was some temporary redness, but basically my skin looked plumper and smoother pretty much straight away.

The treatment takes approximately two weeks to take full effect and I have to say, I am absolutely thrilled with the results. My skin looks and feels super smooth, even first thing in the morning and I find I need less makeup to look fresh and radiant and my foundation goes on beautifully. I have had lots of compliments on how fresh, glowy and healthy I look, even when I have been feeling pretty exhausted! If I can look more awake than I feel, I’m happy with that!

I would say that it’s the single most effective treatment I have had in one sitting. So, if you are looking for a long lasting (clinical trials indicate results last from 6 to 9 months), yet quick fix treatment, this truly ticks the boxes.

You might be interested to know that you can also have this treatment on the hands. As we often neglect the hands, I think that could be effective.

I had a bit of dryness on my chin the following day of treatment. I believe this was down to the numbing cream drying the top layer of my skin. However, since then my skin hasn’t been dry at all, even when using super light skincare and in the cold weather. I am so impressed! Also, I am so pleased that the results will last for at least six months and I would 100% have the treatment again. Love it.

I went to see my best friend just before Christmas and she couldn’t get over how smooth and glowing my skin appeared. She has put the treatment on her to do list!
