OK so we have another new launch from luxury fragrance house Jo Malone and this one packs quite a serious punch. This is Saffron Cologne Intense.

Jo Malone Saffron Cologne Intense Review

When I say serious I mean that this is a pretty grown up scent – it isn’t sweet or fruity or floral, it is much deeper and darker and heavier. I think it’s quite unisex – it has the spiciness from pink pepper that will really appeal to men, and it’s softened by creamy pale woods giving it a subtle feminine touch.

Here are the notes:

Top Notes: Incense
Middle Notes: Saffron
Base Notes: Blond Wood
I have to say, this is really worth a go. I do love my florals but this is 100% appealing in a way that I can’t really describe, and nothing like the Jo Malones I have smelt of late.
In terms of fragrance combining, which Jo Malone is all over, they recommend Oud & Bergamot for a warm sensual woody scent, or Blackberry & Bay to create vibrancy and spice. Personally, I am enjoying it on its own.
It is spicy, deep, warm, heady and sensual. I am quite obsessed! Jo Malone Saffron Cologne Intense is available now for £100 at John Lewis HERE.
