Inde Wild Champi Hair Oil Review

Inde Wild is a newish brand developed by influencer Diipa Büller-Khosla who was born and raised in India. Hair oiling is a massive ritual in India, and although the brand originally launched with skincare, I wanted to try the Inde Wild Champi Hair Oil first for that reason. Here’s what you need to know.

What is Inde Wild Champi Hair Oil?

How to use it

This oil can be used as a pre-shampoo treatment or an overnight treatment. You just need to massage 2-3 pipettes of the product into the scalp, and then work it through the lengths of the hair.

Alternatively, you can just use one or two drops on clean, damp hair into the lengths and ends before drying.

What is Champi?

Champi is an ancient Ayurvedic scalp-massaging technique using a natural oil. It is a mind and body ritual and all about promoting hair health whilst calming the mind and relieving stress.

My Review

Inde Wild Champi Hair Oil
Inde Wild Champi Hair Oil

The smell of the Inde Wild Champi Hair Oil is unbelievable. If it was a fragrance, I’d absolutely wear it. It has a beautiful blend of Jasmine, Champa and Lavender fragrance oils and it’s so warm and comforting and super sensual.

I have used it as a pre-shampoo scalp treatment by massaging in a generous amount into the scalp and leaving it on for 20 minutes before washing my hair. This is perfect to do when I have the luxury of time and it leaves my (often dry) scalp feeling soothed and hydrated, and my hair soft and silky.

As I haven’t had that much time recently, I have been using it mainly as a post-wash treatment on damp hair. I just work a couple of drops into the lengths and ends and then brush through before drying. Please note, you will need even less for fine hair.

It makes my hair smell amazing and also gives it a beautiful shine. There isn’t much that can make bleached blonde hair shiny, but this certainly works.

I love that there are so many different oils within the blend and that they list Rosemary as the last of their key ingredients. I am absolutely sick to death of everyone on social media telling me that Rosemary oil is all you need for hair growth, and I very much doubt there are any strong clinical trials behind the claims.

The blend of the Inde Wild Champi Hair Oil is based on a family recipes that has been tried and tested over 40 years. I love the authenticity in that.
