My Review of Act and Acre Scalp Renew

I have a few products from the Act and Acre range to try, but this was the one I couldn’t wait to test first. My scalp is probably the most reactive skin I have, and its state fluctuates very quickly depending on my diet and stress levels.

When it is particularly sensitive, it can get flaky and quite sore, particularly around the hairline at the front and the back of my neck. I am prone to a touch of what I have been told is Psoriasis which can flare up every now again.

I often feel the need for something soothing yet refreshing and renewing, and the Act and Acre Scalp Renew really does the trick. I have only used it once so far and it made an immediate difference.

How to use it

It’s pretty easy to use. You simply part the hair and apply it directly from the tube to the scalp in sections, and then massage it in with the fingers. I left it on for about 20 minutes (while I also had Olaplex No.0* and Olaplex No.3* on the lengths and ends).

It feels light and fresh on the scalp. It’s not overly tingly or minty, but it feels soothing and hydrating. After I had let the treatment work, I went in the shower for my normal shampoo and conditioner routine.

Once my hair was dry, my scalp felt so much more hydrated and less flaky. Plus it looked much more clear and it also felt like my roots appeared cleaner for longer.

I only wash my hair once or twice per week, so I plan to use this once a month or so to keep my scalp in shape. I’m very impressed so far.

Where to buy it

The Act and Acre Scalp Renew is £48 and available at Cult Beauty in the UK.
