Oh hello! These new lip products from Illamasqua look very exciting indeed. We are tempted with the idea of dewy lips which is so appealing and as a lip product lover, I couldn’t wait to try it. Here is the low down on the brand new Illamasqua Lip Lure range with photos and swatches.

I have been really interested in Illamasqua again since their brilliant success on the Beyond Powder highlighters which I completely adore. They seriously scored there.

With Lip Lure, we are promised, ‘Dewy without being sticky, bold without being heavy’ and it really does sound like the dream. Illamasqua say, ‘Now you can colourfully embellish your lips without compromising on comfort or durability.’ Yes!

These liquid lipsticks deliver great one swipe full coverage with a soft sheeny finish. They have an excellent applicator that makes lining the lips a cinch. The formulation is structured enough to be able to slightly over line the lips without it bleeding everywhere, if you know what I mean?

It feels super comfortable on the lips. They are creamy and nourishing, not sticky which is a real bonus. Because they are so pigmented they can get on your teeth, so you’ll just have to keep an eye on that.

I love all three of the shades I have. Bloom is a beautiful everyday nude, paler than I’d normally wear yet extremely flattering. Rose is the perfect subtle statement and again, very easy to wear. And can we just talk about Embers?! Hot orange is certainly no overstatement. I can honestly say this is probably the most vibrant orange I have ever seen! It’s a bit of a terror on the teeth but totally worth regular mirror checks!
