Illamasqua Cream Pigment in Hollow Review

Illamasqua is one of those makeup brands that make me think about what a serious business makeup is. Not because it is serious and conservative in its product range because we all know that isn’t the case, but because the passion, creativity and commitment to excellence and innovation is so evident.

I have been playing with lots of new gorgeous things and the first one I want to share with you is the Illamasqua Cream Pigment in Hollow.

As I have become increasingly obsessed with the idea of contouring, products like this seriously get my pulse racing!! This Illamasqua cream pigment is absolutely perfect for contouring even the palest of skins. This is because it has a greyish tone which mimics exactly what a shadow looks like and contouring is all about creating shadows to bring the parts of the face next to them forward. There is no orange in this at all.

Now, I am not completely confident with this yet so I just had a little go at contouring my cheekbones by applying the Illamasqua Hollow just under my cheekbones ever so lightly! I used my finger, but you can use a brush.

I am so impressed with how natural this looks and I think this will look amazing with some bronzer and blush to build on the contour. I also used a little along my jaw line to add some definition and I really think it works.

This is going to become an everyday staple in faking natural beauty for me, I can tell!! I hear it makes a brilliant eye shadow base too. It is matte, crease-resistant and water-resistant, so I can see this being a summer essential for a natural look. Basically I have fallen for this stuff hook, line and sinker. It’s the kind of product that gets me so excited.
