I know this is probably a little early for a skincare review, as I have only been using these serums for 4 days, but I am really excited about them and they do have instant effect, so I really wanted to tell you about them! If you’re subscribed to my YouTube Channel, you may have seen a peek of these alongside a tonne of other new beauty products, but I have had a chance to learn a  little more and use them now and I am very pleased indeed. Here’s the lowdown on Hylamide SubQ Anti-Age & SubQ Eyes Advanced Serum.

Now as I mentioned in the video Hylamide SubQ is the latest offering from Deciem founder and genius, Brandon Truaxe. This is his first release of facial skincare products since he left competitor brand Indeed Labs, and due to legal reasons, he has had to wait until now to work within this product area.

But yay for that because over the past 3 years, the company have been developing something very special indeed that not only uses a whole host of extremely potent active ingredients, but also very sophisticated delivery systems that ensure those actives get to where they need to go

Hylamide SubQ – Multi-Function, Multi-Depth

The problem with many skincare products is that they use molecules that are too big to be able to penetrate the skin, or conversely too small to actually attach to the areas they should be treating. What a waste of good molecules! Hylamide focuses on building the ultimate penetration system for multiple skin depths. It is a “next generation blend of multi-function, multi-depth ingredients” – with the right actives actually getting to the right places. Yes!

Hylamide SubQ Anti-Age Advanced Serum

This is a serum is a gorgeous gel-water texture that sinks into the skin beautifully. I find it delivers an instant smoothing effect. To aims to work on:

  • Surface hydration
  • Below surface hydration
  • Fine lines
  • Wrinkles
  • Dynamic lines
  • Sagginess
  • Textural irregularities

Now, although I am not over worrying about lines and wrinkles, I have kind of moved on to worrying about what Hylamide are calling sagginess. It’s not glamorous but it’s a fact. I am worried about sagginess.

Hylamide SubQ Anti-Age serum has five forms of hyaluronic compounds to target multiple depths:

  • Ultra pure, non-animal-origin Hyaluronic Acid targets surface hydration and elasticity
  • 2 forms of very-low-molecular Hyaluronic Complex absorb quickly to targetbelow-surface rehydration
  • Hyaluronic Acid pre-cursor helps visibly plump skin
  • Tamarind-derived plant hyaluronic form offers immediate and long-term rehydration
It also uses:
  • Antarctic and Hawaiian Algae Complex to promote renewal and help prevent moisture loss
  • A multi-functional skin barrier saccharide identical in form to skin carbohydrates
  • Next-Generation Palmitoyl Tripeptide-38 – an advanced form of Matrixyl (TM of Sederma) helps to reduce the look of lines, wrinkles and surface irregularities
You should see instant and long-term rehydration, improvement in skin barrier function and visible improvement in skin surface texture within 2 weeks.
Hylamide SubQ – Copper

Copper has long been an area of interest within the beauty industry for its ability to promote collagen production. However, until now it has been super expensive and very unstable rendering it a completely nonviable option.

Hylamide’s formula uses copper peptides with additional amino acids that make it stable and affordable. The delivery system ensures the peptide penetrate every level of the skin.

Hylamide SubQ – Retinol Effects

Nonapeptide-3 Retino-Complex uses a new technology that triggers the skin’s signal to renew itself in the way  Retinol does but without the irritation and side effects usually associated with Retinol.

Hylamide SubQ Eye

This is a cream-gel-water serum that sinks into the eye area beautifully. It contains the same Retinol-alike complex the face serum uses. I find it makes the skin tingle momentarily and then seems to tighten everything up. It aims to work on:

  • Surface hydration
  • Below surface hydration
  • Dynamic lines
  • Textural irregularities
  • Puffiness
  • Dark Circles

It contains a Flavanoid Glucoside Bio-active to help encourage circulation and reduce visible darkness under the eyes. For anyone worried about sagging eyelids (me!) the good news is that this contains a Darutoside complex which strengthens dermal structures for a lifted upper lid appearance and reduced visible sagginess.

A Walgerin-1 Peptide Complex works to reduce the look of dynamic lines around the eyes by paralysing the small twitch muscle below the eye. This really means business.
Fluorinated Perfluorocarbon Complex instantly tightens the under-eye area both immediately and over time. There’s also a blurring complex that reduces the appearance of lines and dark circles.

  1. Hi, I’ve been using the eye serum for 2 weeks – one drop used across both eyes. For the first week I was very impressed, however the skin under my eyes is now really crepey and the fine lines and cross hatching are really noticeable. I don’t use the serum alone, I let it sink in for a few minutes and then apply guinot age logic yeux.

I don’t know if I should persevere with the serum, any suggestions?

    1. Oh no! I think I would stop if I was you. That doesn’t sound good. I’ll send this to Deciem and see what they say.

    2. Hi Sarah,

I sent your query to Deciem and they have responsed:

“Generally sudden changes in visible surface lines relate to temporary changes in skin surface hydration. These changes in hydration can relate to sun and/or weather exposure or the immediate diet but such changes are short term. Also, renewing products such as Guinot Age Logic Yeux can sometime introduces periods of slight surface “dryness” as the skin is adjusted to faster renewal. Hylamide SubQ Eye starts to work within 5 days but will continue to offer results at different depths of the skin for the 4-6 weeks ahead and during this time the additional multi-depth hydration benefits will also counteract and prevent these temporary changes in hydration that may make surface lines more visible. While the initial results may seem impressive, the real foundation of better skin forms within the 4-6 weeks of use and the overall quality of the skin will continue to improve visibly”

      Hope this helps
