My Review
The formula of Guerlain L’Essentiel Pore-Minimising Primer has been designed to work like a protective barrier between the skin and foundation. It creates a super smooth base for foundation to be applied over and I found I needed much less foundation to achieve really good coverage.

I have been using my Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless foundation a lot recently and this works really well with it. You need the tiniest amount for super full coverage and it gives a soft matte, smooth look, without being flat.

Personally, I’m not a huge fan of a matte finish, as you probably know, so I only applied in on the t-zone, and in areas where my pores are more visible, so that I was still able to see the glow I love on the high points of my face.

I really like the texture of this priming fluid. It is super light and sinks into the skin really well without adding a perceptible layer. I never enjoy the feeling of wearing a primer, and this doesn’t feel like you are wearing one at all, which is great.

It lasted really well with my Charlotte Tilbury foundation, although that one is pretty long lasting on its own. I do think it did well to control the shine in my t-zone, but to be completely honest, that shine really doesn’t bother me as I’d prefer to be be shiny rather than matte anyway.
In terms of the appearance of pores, I think it has a subtle smoothing effect. It isn’t like a silicone primer which literally fills in pores, it is more of a light subtle blur and has a much more pleasant feel.
