GUCCI Poudre De Beauté Éclat Soleil Powder Shade 3 Medium Swatch
This bronzer swatches really well and it has a lovely creamy-to-the-touch texture. I really like this medium shade.
Also, how absolutely stunning is the packaging? I am obsessed with the Tiffany green casing, with gold lettering and gold ridged base. And how cute it the little matching brush that sits neatly inside the bottom compartment of the compact? I’m Not sure I’ll use it much other than when I’m out and about, but it is good to have. I’d want this bronzer just for the packaging!
I have had lots of requests to add this in, so here are the GUCCI bronzer ingredients:
New GUCCI Bronzer vs Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Bronzer
So I thought it would be really interesting to compare the GUCCI Poudre De Beauté Éclat Soleil Powder in Medium to the Charlotte Tilbury Airbush Bronzer in Medium. I picked this one because the new Airbrush Bronzers are the ones I get the most questions about. Find my Airbrush Bronzer review with swatches of all the shades here.
They are different in terms of finish – the GUCCI is more luminous, and the Tilbury is a matte. However, they both offer a skin perfecting finish with blurring, smoothing and complexion enhancing capability, enriched with skincare benefits (hyaluronic acid etc). So I think these makes that comparable options. Also, they are both refillable.
GUCCI Bronzer vs Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Bronzer Swatches
I have compared the two bronzers next to each other – GUCCI Medium 3 is on the Left and Charlotte Tilbury Medium 2 is on the right.
As you can see, the GUCCI loads on more strongly, whereas the CT goes on in lighter layers. I’d say this is down to the fact that GUCCI has a creamier texture thanks to its Shea.
This translates beautifully in a swatch for the GUCCI but I actually found that it made application to the face harder in comparison to the Tilbury. The GUCCI has more red in the undertone that the CT.
When testing them together, I found that the Tilbury applied much more effortlessly and was noticeably more skin perfecting. I had to work at the GUCCI to smooth it out, and although I prepped and set my foundation with powder, it felt like I needed more powder underneath, if you know what I mean.
The GUCCI Side
I love the luminous finish of the GUCCI, and I do really love a glowy bronzer, but I found that it didn’t smooth out the texture on my skin as well as the velvety finish of the CT.
The Charlotte Tilbury Side
In fact, I think it actually exaccerbated texture slightly, especially when sat next to the Airbrush Bronzer, which does in fact ”airbrush the skin in comparison.
I asked my boyfriend to say which side of my face looked more flawless, and he chose the Charlotte Tilbury side.
I really like the GUCCI. I mean I am obsessed with the packaging, and for that fact alone I would guard it with my life. Also, glowy bronzers are my thing, but I would need to prepare a much more flawless base to make it perform as well at the Tilbury. Also price wise, gram per gram, GUCCI is almost double.
I have recorded application side by side for my Instagram stories so make sure you check those out soon.
