Gosh Velvet Touch Matte Lipsticks

Lipsticks are some of my favourite beauty products and no matter how many I already have, I always want more! I haven’t tried much from Gosh in recent years but these have really impressed me. I want to try a few more products from the brand now. While I am not usually a fan of matte lipsticks, the GOSH Velvet Touch Matte Lipsticks have changed my mind!

The Velvet Touch Matte Lipsticks from Gosh are available in five new shades. I really like the range that they have released as you have a good mix of everyday shades and bold lips as well. All of the GOSH beauty products are available exclusively at Superdrug and retail for £7.99 each. The five shades are:

• 019 Angel
• 020 Pleasure
• 021 Fidelity
• 022 Orchid
• 023 Chesnut

These lipsticks offer long-lasting colour payoff with a matte finish. Each of the shades applies smoothly to the lips but does need a few swipes to achieve maximum pigmentation. They aren’t creamy to apply but they aren’t dry either and what I really like about these lipsticks is how long lasting they are. They last so well on the lips. The darkest shade, Chesnut, looked as if I had just applied it after eating a meal and having a drink which I was so impressed with! These have the lasting power of a liquid lipstick without being drying on the lips, clinging to any dry patches or settling into lip lines like liquid lipsticks often do.

These lipsticks will only lightly transfer and they slightly set on the lips which I like as I don’t have to worry about them bleeding outside the lip line.They are incredibly lightweight on the lips, you can hardly feel them and they don’t look dry  either. Each of the lipsticks contains Hyaluronic Acid which helps moisturise and smooth the lips throughout wear.
