The new Gosh Giant Pro Liner is a graphic felt-tip liner in jet black. It looks more like a permanent marker pen than a tool to create the perfect winged eye, but although the thick pen is initially intimidating it actually makes the product easier to hold. Buy it here

The pointed tip is created just so, to make it easy to draw both thick and thin lines to frame the eyes. Winged eyeliner has always been my ultimate nemesis and it takes endless amounts of patience and cotton buds for me to be happy with the results.

I have played with this eyeliner in various ways and it does take some getting used to as it is much bigger than traditional felt tip pens. I find it easy to create a thick cat eye look with this eyeliner, perfect for those who don’t care much for eyeshadow and prefer bold graphic eyeliner to emphasise the eyes. It is much more difficult to create a thin line but can be done if you have a cotton bud, masking tape, or a makeup wipe on hand.

The eyeliner does smudge fairly easily so I like to set it with a matte black eyeshadow or even go over it with a waterproof pencil. This adds dimension and deepens the shade too, as it doesn’t apply flawlessly black throughout and does require some tweaking and smoothing at the end to make it perfect. One of my favourite things about this eyeliner is it is so easy to remove, just plain water will wash it off right away which makes it so easy to fix and change but does mean it is not as long-lasting as I would like if worn alone.

Overall, I like the style of the pen and think it is a great tool for creating that gorgeous graphic cat eye look. It is too big to be used for daintier liner looks in my opinion. I love that it is easy to remove and doesn’t irritate my eyes at all, I just wish it was more smudge-proof.
