When I post the odd selfie on Instagram I always get questions about how I get my skin to glow and when I asked if you’d like a post on it, my lovely insta-friends were very keen! So here it is! I have been using this combination for over a month and I rarely waiver from it. Check out my Glowy Glass Skin Makeup Routine.

To be completely frank, this makeup look starts off with quite a lot of skincare and I tend to layer on an essence, a serum or two, a light oil and then moisturiser. Please let me know if you’d like more detail on this because I can do a separate post on my day time skincare. It has been pretty consistent lately.
Glowy Glass Skin Makeup Routine
Once I have done my skincare, I prime my face with a face mist. I tend to use the Too Faced Hangover Mist or the Ciate Dewy Spritz (the latter if I want extra glow).
Base Step 1
For this, I use the new It Cosmetics CC Illumination Cream – available in seven shades HERE.
I am in between shades so I use a small pump of Fair and a small pump of Light and then mix them together on the back of my hand. I use a buffing brush – currently the Zoeva Silk Finish brush which I adore. I really work it into the skin, all over my face, and buff buff buff!
You can read the review of this product here.
Base Step 2
Next I use a small pump of another of my absolute faves, the NARS Radiant Longwear Foundation in Deauville. I work this into the T-zone (mainly nose, inner cheeks and chin). It gives a natural looking layer of extra coverage and really makes my skin look extra flawless without taking down any glow.
See my post with all the shades swatched here.
Conceal & Highlight
In terms of concealer, I have been switching between the Bare Minerals Barepro Full Coverage Concealer in shade 03 or the Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Concealer in 1N. I don’t need too much because the base is really good, but I use it under the eyes, down and around the nose and on the sides and and centre of the chin, leave it for a few seconds and then buff it in.
See review and swatches of the Bare Minerals here and the Laura Mercier here.
T-zone Set
I am a powder-phobe but I have been loving the new IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores illumination airbrush pressed powder. I use it with the IT Cosmetics fluffy powder brush and lightly roll it onto the T-zone.
More recently I have been playing with the new Hourglass Veil Translucent Setting Powder (review here) that just launched. It’s also great if you’re not a fan of powder but still want to set your makeup.
Contour & Set

I have been using Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate in Intensity 1 pretty much everyday. I use a small amount under cheekbones, temples and jawline and apply it using the Real Techniques Precision Contour Brush from the Full Coverage Essentials set which I don’t think it available anymore. A good alternative is the B. Flat Contour Brush.
I buff this in gently with the Guerlain Foundation Brush, making sure I always blend upwards with on the cheeks. Then I use the a fluffy brush to set the contour and bronze up with one of my faves, the Guerlain Terracotta Light in 01.
Highlight and Set
Next I use the Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter in shade 2 to highlight in all the usual places and blend it in with my finger.
I lightly set this with the NARS Powder Highlighter in Albatross or Fort de France.
Blush
I literally cannot stop using the Decorte Blush in OR 250. It has the most incredible texture, melts into the skin and leaves it look glowy and juicy.
Mist & Set
For extra glow and staying powder I use the Ciate Dewy Spritz right at the end. Be careful because it isn’t as fine as I’d like, but it certainly gives a gorgeous glass skin finish once dried.

And that’s my Glowy Glass Skin Makeup makeup routine! I hope that was helpful!!
