The brand new Glossier Ultralip lipstick come tinted lip balm is causing quite a stir and for all the right reasons. After months of mask-wearing, lip colour is well and truly on its way back. Here’s a look at the new formula with photos and swatches.
What is Glossier Ultra Lip?
The tagline for this lip product is hydrating shine + colour and I love that this is a true hybrid of lip care and makeup. Glossier are dubbing this as the cashmere sweatpants of lipstick.

Glossier Ultralip Key Ingredients
The luxurious formula comprises of:
- 4HA – Exclusive to Glossier, this unique blend of four different molecular weights of Hyaluronic Acid to deeply hydrate
- Meadowfoam Seed Oil – an excellent source of fatty acids and antioxidants that helps soften lips, locks in moisture, and provides smooth application
- Watermelon Seed Oil – packed with vitamins and fatty acids to condition and care
- Jojoba Seed Oil – gloss-enhancing oil that forms an occlusive conditioning layer for a smoothing and softening effect.

- Trench – toffee brown
- Portrait – cherry blossom pink

The shades are all really pretty and will suit pretty much everyone depending on how you apply them. My favourites are Villa, Portrait, Coupe and Vesper.

I absolutely love this launch from Glossier because everything about it is easy. Ultralip is easy to apply, easy to wear and easy to choose because all the shades are super wearable.
I could get wear out of all them I think, although the Lucite shade is just a teeny bit on the pale side for me. I can still make it work though.
What I love most is that the formula feels balmy and glossy, and super luxurious – way more than its £14 price tag.

Hi Ree, I was just wondering which you would rate better – the Glossier Ultralip or Charlotte Tilbury Hyaluronic Happikiss? I am torn between them. Many thanks x
Hi Lorraine – love them both. I think the colour payoff on the CT is more intense and immediate, but the Glossier is buildable and feels a bit lighter. Hope that helps xxx
