As soon as I heard about the brand new Glossier Skywash Matte Eyeshadows, I knew I had to try them. I have loved the Glossier eye and brow products so far, so had high hopes. Here’s what you need to know.

So these new shadows are apparently inspired by unglazed pottery which really appeals to me. David Hockney painting and Southwest landscape are also mentioned and it just feels really cool and a little romantic and I am totally there!
What is Glossier Skywash?

Glossier Skywash Swatches
I am pleased to say that I have all the shades here to show you and swatching them kind of reminded me of playing with Farrow and Ball paints. They all have that really cool, muted, diffused tone and it’s such a beautiful effect.

- Lawn – fresh green
- Pool – cornflower blue
- Pebble – neutral taupe
- Valley – warm peach
- Terra – burnt sienna
- Echo – cocoa brown
- Palm – golden beige
Lawn, Pool, Pebble, Valley, Terra, Echo, and Palm:

I love all the shades, even the green and blue, although those ones are less likely to make it onto my eyes.
The one I tried on my eyes first is Valley and it’s really pretty. I love how it looks on my lids and found it applied really easily and shows up very nicely on my skin tone. I’m excited to try the other neutral shades too and I think I am going to get along pretty well with these.
As soon as I can I’ll update this post with photos of how the formula looks on my lids. I also will report back on wear time. So stay tuned, but loving them so far!
