I took one look at the palette in the Midnight Skies Collection for Givenchy Fall 2018 and it made me do a sharp intake of breath! I have photos and swatches of the full collection here to show you. Please enjoy!

This collection is inspired by the fashion house’s approach to the dress. Red is the key theme, Givenchy’s signature sequin red.

Givenchy Fall 2018 Swatches

I have four pieces to show you here and I absolutely love the colour theme of this collection. Red around the eyes can be a little scary but the hue this range employs is so rich and deep that it’s the perfect twist on a classic black.

Givenchy Midnight Skies Eye Palette Swatches

The quality of these eyeshadows is incredible – I do love a Givenchy eye palette. There are three blackened shades –  pewter, antique gold and bronze – and then the collection signature red that is just stunning.

It is a long-lasting formula with a creamy texture, seamless coverage and high shine. The red is particularly interesting as it has a chromatic quality that moves from orange to pink to red. I love it.

Givenchy Rouge Interdit Midnight Red

I absolutely love the stars imprinted into the bullet of this lipstick! The formula uses black rose extract and light oils to nourish and comfort the skin. The shade is amazing:

Givenchy Noir Interdit Dark Red

Coloured lashes are huge right now, and this shade is a very flattering way to get involved in that trend.

Givenchy Encre a Cils Red Night

And if you don’t think you can go the full hog with coloured lashes, this mascara top coat in Red Night is the answer.

You can use this over a black mascara just at the tips or the outer corners to add dimension, interest and a touch of shine.
