When I googled Formula 10.0.6 I came up with reviews that went “I picked this up from Ulta and my skin has never looked better”. Formula 10.0.6 is a global brand with roots in American drugstores. I’m obsessed with American stuff. My secret fantasy is to go on holiday on my own to the USA with an empty suitcase and spend two weeks in Ulta and Sephora, even though I’m not entirely sure what they are. So I was extremely excited to try this new brand that comes from old school America land.
Here are some facts you may wish to know about Formula 10.0.6:
- Aimed at troublesome blemished skin
- Their unisex packaging is bright, and the products have zingy citrusy scents
- Formula 10.0.6s signature So Totally Clean Deep Pore Cleanser was designed in 1933 by chemists
- All of Formula 10.0.6’s products are cruelty free
It’s totally meant to be for teenagers/young people (i.e. not me) but that isn’t standing in the way of me really liking the products I’ve tried. I have oily, blemish prone skin so I feel that Formula 10.0.6 is a good match for my skin type.
For trial I have: Deep Down Ultra Cleansing Mud Mask, So Totally Clean Deep Pore Cleanser, Picture Perfect Day Moisturiser and last but not least, Three Times Sublime 3 in 1 Blackhead Wash, Scrub and Mask.
They are snazzily named and the packaging is colourful and fresh.
Formula 10.0.6 So Totally Clean-Deep Pore Cleanser £8.99
Ingredients include– Alcohol (kills bugs), Sodium PCA (humectant), Salicylic Acid (acne fighting exfoliant), Allantoin (skin soother)
This is Formula 10.0.6’s signature product. The scent of So Totally Clean is really reminiscent of something for me; it’s an old school, clean smell. It’s one of those cleansers that you use on a cotton wool pad. I’ve been using it after a foaming cleanser, which is the point when I’d expect my face to be clean. This cleanser gets so much more dirt off my face. The pad is black! It leaves my skin feeling really clean.
So Totally Clean does contain alcohol, which means that it isn’t ideal for those with dry, sensitive skin and it’s best followed with moisturiser. I’ve been using this for over a week and have suffered no irritation or dryness; just zingy fresh skin. Find it here
Three Times Sublime 3 in 1 Blackhead Wash, Scrub and Mask £8.99
Ingredients– Oil and impurity absorbing Kaolin and Bentonite, exfoliating pumice and polylactic acid, Salicylic acid, moisturising Jojoba and cleansing Grapefruit
Three Times Sublime is described as a “complete complexion overhaul”. You can use this as a scrubbing cleanser and/or a mask, so it’s a handy multi-tasker. Use up to three times weekly for a thorough, deep clean and exfoliation. Three Times Sublime has that classic clay mask “stiff face” feeling once dried and it really absorbs excess oil. It has a lovely grapefruit citrus scent. Three Times Sublime is versatile and time saving. I’ve been using it when I’m feeling particularly oily for a really thorough clean. Find it here
Picture Perfect Day Daily Moisturiser £8.99
Ingredients– Octocrylene (sunscreen), glycerin (moisturiser), Guava and Vitamin C (antioxidants)
Picture Perfect Day has a really specific smell, I can quite put my finger on it, it smells like some sort of fruity sweet. It’s probably the Guava, you don’t get many Guavas round my way. It’s definitely suited for day wear with SPF15 and medium UVA protection. Picture Perfect Day is a perfect light moisturisng sun protection cream for autumn in Britain. It gives a light slightly tacky finish which is great for wearing under makeup. Find it here
Deep Down Detox Ultra Cleansing Mud Mask £8.99
Ingredients– Detoxifying clays- Kaolin, Bentonite, soothing Aloe Vera, Vitamin E, calming cucumber, antiseptic Bergamot, cleansing Sea salt and Vitamin C rich Orange extract.
Deep Down Detox Mask is a cleansing clay mask designed for oily/acne prone skin. It contains Bentonite clay. Before I tried this mask I had been reading about the magical properties of Bentonite. Bentonite is derived from volcanic ash and contains a raft of different minerals. It contains negatively charged ions which bind to toxins and can draw out impurities from the skin. An ideal ingredient for congested, blemishy young skin then.
I have had many a clay mask in my time. This one has quite a different texture. Deep Down Detox doesn’t have your usual dry chalky feel to it, it feels more creamy/moisturising. It has a lovely Orange scent to it and leaves skin feeling super fresh and clean, but not dried out. Find it here
Formula 10.0.6 does a great line of bright, fresh products ideal for young people or those with blemish prone skin. I can’t wait to try more from them. Find the full range of Formula 10.0.6 to order online now here

If u have a sensitive face I recommend NOT using the face mask. As I used it and face face was absolutely hot. I have not tryed the other products so not sure about them. But if u have a sensitive face I recommend not using their face mask.
