The brand new FOREO LUNA play is the cutest little sonic cleansing tool you ever did see. The size of a cotton pad, super affordable and perfectly portable. Here’s the low down!

I really loved the FOREO LUNA when I tried it a while back, but my problem with cleansing devices such as this is the charging issue. It goes like this – I am all enthusiastic, then it runs out of charge and I haven’t planned for it, so I skip using it, then get used to not using it, and then I forget about it. The same thing happens if I don’t take it away when I travel because I can’t be bothered with the charging equipment.

The problem is even worse with the brush cleansing variety but you have to also factor in buying and changing new brushes periodically. All the odds seem stacked against getting into a true routine. Anyway, to get to my point, all these issues are solved with the little baby FOREO LUNA play. So cute.

It’s tiny – like I said – the size of a cotton pad and is a fully independent unit that doesn’t rely on a charger. Yay!

It is really lovely to use and is great with all cleansing formats including balms, oils, creams and gel. It gives whatever you choose an extra deep cleansing boost. I have mine in the shelf in the shower and it will be the easiest thing ever to pop it in my travel bag so that I can keep using it.

You can use it a hundred times, by which time the battery will have worn out and the hygienic thing to do it get a new one. And a whole new one is not going to cost much more than a replacement brush head. It’s all very easy.

I absolutely love my baby pink one (Pearl Pink), however, there’s also Fuchsia, Mint, Purple, Sunflower Yellow, Aquamarine and Midnight. I think these are the perfect introduction to sonic cleansing Foreo-style and the ideal lazy-girl tool. The FOREO LUNA play has just launched for £29 and is available to order online HERE.

  • Love the idea, but seems really wasteful to me. Does it go in the bin after or can it be recycled? Mentions nothing on the supplier’s page. Considering this company produced a special ‘save the sea’ charity device I hope they would’ve thought about this!

P.S I have a luna mini and love it, it only needs charging every 5 months so no hassle at all!

    • I don’t have any info on recycling. Wow the mini only needs charging every 5 months? That’s great! Although I would probably lose the charger in that time!! X

    • I got one today and once the battery has worn out of the luna play, you can use it like a loofa according to a lady I met today! So it still has use to it which is great.

  • How to charge the device after 100 uses ?? It is so wasteful if we cann’t not longger use that device after 100 uses 🙁

    • It is just 100 uses. You can’t recharge it. It is supposed to be like a trial one to see if you like it, and then you can invest in a more expensive, rechargeable one

    • It is really wasteful indeed. I don’t think that’s a good policy from side of Foreo… I hate the idea of having to bin the device after 100 uses. Not fund anything about it being biodegradable or recyclable either :/ Definitely wouldn’t buy.

  • The play is made of the same materials as their more expensive models- if its more hygienic to toss it after 100 uses the same could be said for the others! I wouldn’t be happy buying a pricer version if thats the case, and to repurchase the play several times seems poor value for money

    • I think it’s meant as an entry level device and then you can purchase the longer lasting more expensive ones if you get on well.

  • I was keen on getting one until I found out that it is not rechargeable. That does seem awfully wasteful..
