My Review
As soon as the new Fenty Beauty Hella Thicc mascara launched (I have a review here), I started to get lots of questions about the new Fenty Skin Melt Awf cleanser, so I had to get testing.
I have a few other bits of Fenty skincare (I like the SPF Hydra Vizor* as a glowy primer with protection) so I was keen to try this out.

The packaging is really cool. It sits on its lid, so you will never struggle to get it out, and there’s a soft touch button at the top that you press and squeeze down to dispense the product.

Fenty Skin Melt Awf is designed to be used directly on to dry skin to instantly melt off the makeup. I tested it when I had a full face of eye makeup and a red lip, and I have to say, it made quick work of it.
I spent some time massaging it over my skin. The jelly turns into lovely silky oil as you work it into your skin. The gel to oil texture really reminds me of another cleansing balm, but I can’t think what it is at the moment.

It lifted off the eye makeup and lipstick really easily, and then I added water to emulsify the oil. It tuns into a light milk that you can rinse away, although I used a flannel to remove everything.
I tried it with just rinsing away, and this works really well too. You don’t have to use a cloth if you don’t want to.
It takes everything off and leaves my skin feeling really hydrated and nourished. I used my Garnier Micellar Water on a pad after removing the full face of makeup with Melt Awf, just to test how effective it is. It came away completely clean.
When I was testing the Fenty Hella Thicc Mascara, I used the Byoma Cleansing Oil, and although it did a good job, it didn’t take everything away. I think the new Fenty Skin Melt Awf Jelly Oil Make-Up Melting Cleanser is definitely more suited to heavy and stubborn makeup.
I am really enjoying using it. It says it’s also suitable for day use, but personally, I’ll save this for heavy makeup days when I need something to get to work at melting everything off fast. I only need something super light in the mornings.

Great review, could it be the shiseido WASO Shikulime cleanser which is a gel to oil formula which sounds similar to what you are describing? Keep up the amazing posts 🙂
yes it does have a similar texture to that! Thanks so much! xxx
