So a few months back I wrote a post about an anti-ageing chocolate I had heard about, rather strangely by a driver who had taken an interest in how I earn a living. He knew straight away that a beauty blogger would be interested in anti-ageing chocolate. At the time, a little bit of research revealed that it was actually Esthechoc Cambridge Beauty Chocolate that all the buzz was about.

Today I went along to the first official launch of Esthechoc Cambridge Beauty Chocolate at Harrods, where the product is currently being exclusively stocked. And basically I have gone from a conversation where I thought a driver was pulling my leg, to intense interest and anticipation, to now being in possession of a 6 week supply to try it myself. Exciting!

It is the result of 10 years of extensive and independent research and many tests which now conclude that it is a highly efficacious anti-ageing food supplement.
And apparently, I should see results in 3 weeks. In fact, Esthechoc are so confident of this that they have even provided a kit that measures the skin’s starting point, and the skin after 3 weeks, for me to carry out and send off to them. Apparently it is all about astaxanthin levels in the skin which are set to increase if I eat one piece a day for 3 weeks.
For me, the test is pretty irrelevant because I want to see results on my face and not on paper, but I will do the test anyway I think for anyone that is interested in the scientific aspect of the results.
Esthechoc Cambridge Beauty Chocolate Features

I had a little taste of Esthechoc Cambridge Beauty Chocolate today and I have to say, it is very pleasant. It is like a very good quality dark chocolate. Each daily portion:
- Contains 38 kcals
- Increases the level of antioxidants in the skin
- Improves microcirculation
- Raises oxygen levels
- Thus prevents ageing by stopping free radical formation inside the skin
Esthechoc Cambridge Beauty Chocolate contains 70% cocoa and combines 2 antioxidants that contain the strongest anti-ageing properties – cocoa flavanols and astaxanthin caretenoid.
The idea of dark chocolate having anti-ageing properties is not new, but in order to get real benefit, you would have to eat 100g which is equal to 500 kcals. Esthechoc does it in just 38kcals and delivers the same quantity of astaxanthin as 10kg of raw seaweed.
Esthechoc Cambridge Beauty Chocolate Clinical Tests
3000 women (very decent test size!!) between the ages of 50 and 60 ate one piece of Esthechoc as part of their daily diet for 3 weeks. Their starting biomarkers and metabolic parameters were measured, and after 3 weeks, the same measures indicated that their skin had been taken back to a level typical of people aged between 20 and 30.
Basically, the skin’s physiology was massively improved. The only thing that concerns me is that that’s all great, but did it look younger? There is no way that a 60 year old can suddenly look like a 30 year just because a test measures an increase in anti-oxidants in the skin. I guess I will just have to see what it can do for me.
Dr Ivan Petyaev, who has been working on Esthechoc says “a daily dose will help the skin to regain its firmness, radiance and luminosity and when regularly used, it protects against the ageing process”.
I don’t think it will necessarily turn back time, but it looks like it may just be able to slow that ticking clock! I am going to give it a go. Watch this space!
Esthechoc Cambridge Beauty Chocolate come in boxes of 21, for a 3 week supply. Each box costs £35. Buy it exclusively at Harrods HERE.

Any news?
Does
Esthechoc Cambridge Beauty Chocolate really work????
I only took it for 21 days and forgot some days so took a bit longer over. Didn’t really notice any change in my skin but, as I said, I wasn’t very strict about it!
Haven’t noticed any difference after 6 weeks. Wondering whether to keep going or is it just a waste of a lot of money?? Has anyone actually seen any before and after photos?
Liz
I think that it probably changes the antioxidant levels in skin, but my question is, will that actually reflect in the look of your skin? I am not sure if they had before and after photos at the launch – I don’t remember any.
