Witht the promise of all-over pearly radiance and instant refreshment, I was very excited to try the brand new Estee Lauder Pure Color Love Cooling Highlighter. I have been melting in the heat, so anything cooling has gone straight to the top of my priority list.

These cute little balm highlighters come in a range of shades and I have them all here to show you.

In spite of it being a light, water-infused formula, it sets really well on to the skin for long wear, which is exactly what we need in the heat. Although it feels super refreshing on the skin, stick to light layers because if you are too heavy-handed it can build up a bit and be a little hard to blend.

A lovely light layer, tapped or pressed gently into the skin is enough to illuminate the complexion and give a long lasting finish. As I have pale skin, I really like Moon Pearl and Sultry Shine on the cheekbones and cupid’s bow, and Gold Beam or Bronze are very pretty on the apples of the cheeks for a bit of soft glowy warmth.

I think these would be great for minimal makeup days and look great applied over moisturiser or SPF for that little something extra. I also lightly swiped them on to my eyelids for soft shine.
