OK so we have an EE Cream! Because I love the fun in beauty, I am welcoming the Alphabet obsession with open arms, however I fully understand that many of you will find this a tad exasperating! But please read on because there’s a reason that I really love the Estee Lauder Enlighten EE Cream and it has a lot to do with my obsession with darks spots and hyperpigmentation.

So Estee Lauder did BB and CC but it seems they are skipping DD (double d – ha!!) and accelerating right on up to an EE Cream! Go EL! And what is EE about? Well Enlighten is Estee Lauder’s brand new dark spot correcting 24 hour skincare line and the EE stands for Even Effect. The line also includes Enlighten Dark Spot Correcting Night Serum and Enlighten Even Skintone Correcting Crème.
Being freckle-prone and extremely sun sensitive, even skin is something I crave. So ‘enthusiastic’ is definitely one way to describe my feelings towards Estee Lauder Enlighten EE Even Effect Skintone Corrector!

Estee Lauder Enlighten EE – The Formula
So this is designed to be applied as the last step in the Enlighten Skincare regime. I am going to go into details about the ingredients and attributes of this range in another post but the bottom line is that it works to correct skintone issues, targeting dark spots, sun spots, skin discolouration and redness.
Ingredients
The EE cream shares the properties of the Enlighten skincare range (see above) and also contains an SPF of 30 to defend the skin against the damage it’s vulnerable to by day. Additionally, it provides a barrier against pollution and anti-oxidant protection from free radicals. It uses Baicalin (a high-purity, high-potency extract of Scutellaria Baicalensis) to minimise the visible effects of irritation from pollution that can trigger the formation of excess pigment and dark spots. Fabulous!
The Finish
On top of all this Estee Lauder Enlighten EE Cream also provides great coverage. This texture is sheer and super light but it conceals and perfects just like a BB cream would. It has a gorgeous cream/gel texture that melts into the skin and colour correcting pigments get to work on imperfections and optical enhance add radiance to the skin.
It can be use alone, or under foundation for an even more flawless look.

As usual, so you can see how the product looks on the skin, I have taken a photo with no makeup at all, and then one with the Estee Lauder Enlighten EE Cream in shade light applied with my fingers.

Love it! It evens everything out, covers redness, disguises my pigmentation marks and gives the skin a gorgeous natural glow! I think this will be perfect for weekends and minimal makeup days and literally THE perfect primer under foundation for when I am looking for a more perfected look.
I love that there’s a double defence to pigmentation and I think this will be amazing all year round as I always wear a minimum of SPF30 on a daily basis.
Estee Lauder Enlighten EE Cream (£34) launches 1st October 2014 alongside Enlighten Dark Spot Correcting Night Serum (£50) and Enlighten Even Skintone Correcting Crème (£46). I’ll be getting into the skincare soon too so stayed tuned.
