I love the Essie Gel Couture nail polishes and this new collection designed for brides and brides-to-be is absolutely delightful. Check out my swatches of the Essie Gel Couture Bridal Collection by Monique Lhuillier.
As you are probably aware, Monique Lhuillier is famed for her stunning couture wedding dress design and so is the perfect collaborator when it comes to designing a bridal collection for Essie’s newest innovation, Gel Couture.
I am so impressed with this shade range. It includes some stunning nudes perfectly fitting for a bride, and also a couple of more daring choices that I absolutely love.
Essie Gel Couture Bridal Collection Shades
- Lace to the Alter – soft elegant ivory sheer with iridescent pearls
- Dress is More – sheer creamy white dusted with pink
- Sage You Love Me – soft dusty grey with with a shimmer of green undertones
- To Have and to Gold – chic, vintage rose gold
- Berry in Love – deep plum
Monique said, “I created shades that fit every bride, perfectly complementing their dress and beauty. On my wedding day, that meant a traditional soft pink based manicure, for some that means a pop of berry red or metallic gold. This collection brings that ‘perfect fit’ feeling right down to the bride’s fingertips”.
The Essie Gel Couture system is two step with a colour and a top coat. You apply two coats of the colour (or more if you wish), allow them to dry in between and then apply the clear top coat.
It features shatter-proof technology that magnifies colour, boosts shine and gives an ultra glossy finish.

I have five of the shades to show you and I have to say, I love them all. Who needs a wedding for gorgeous nails?!
Lace to the Alter Swatch:
Dress is More Swatch:
Blush Worthy Swatch:
Sage You Love Me Swatch:
Berry In Love Swatch:
I have layered up Lace to the Alter and Dress is More as I like a more opaque coverage, but these are beautiful with a more sheer finish too.
I currently have Sage You Love Me on my fingernails and Berry in Love on my toes. Love the finish and shades.
