Right I have a huge new cleansing obsession! It is this rather inconspicuous looking Erborian Natural Konjac Sponge. It’s amazing.

So I know it’s just a sponge but I have to say, this has really got me excited about cleansing again! When my dad was in hospital recently, I got a bit slack about my skincare routine and my beloved cleansing obsession took a bit of a back seat. Strangely I really struggled to get back in to it. I have kind of been cleansing because I know I have to rather than really enjoying the ritual like I usually do. It was odd!

Anyway, for the last week or so, I have been using the Erborian Natural Konjac Sponge and I absolutely love it. It has made me all excited about cleansing again! I have been using flannels and muslin cloths to remove my cleansing products for years, but now I feel like I only ever want to use this sponge.

Before you wet the Erborian Natural Konjac Sponge it is rock hard but if you run it under the tap for a few minutes it becomes soft and spongey and so comfortable to use.

I have been using this to remove my oil based cleansers (most recently the Erborian Cleansing Creme Aux 7 Herbes – more on that soon) and this sponge feels so good on my skin. It is super soft, yet really thorough and removes all the products and impurities really easily. It is even gentle enough to use on the eye area.

What I love about it most is that is rinses so well. Every scrap of dirt and makeup that I take off my skin vanishes when rinsed and it returns to its virgin state pretty much. That never happens with my flannels and muslins – you can always see evidence of makeup and sometimes they even look a bit grubby when they come out of the washing machine.

After using it, my skin feels softer than usual and looks super radiant. Love!!  Erborian recommend using the Erborian Natural Konjac Sponge to remove oil based cleansers and then follow with a water based one. I have been following up with the Erborian Double Mousse (love!!). Stay tuned for more posts on the cleansing products I have mentioned. You can see them in my new video.

The Erborian Natural Konjac Sponge is £11. Find it HERE.
