One of my favourite things to test are makeup brushes. I just think they have such power to transform your makeup. Before buying my first brushes, I didn’t see the value in paying for something that I can use my hands to do. However, now I’m utterly obsessed and I’m pretty ashamed to admit the number I have in my collection. One of the brands that I’ve had a little bit of exposure to is EcoTools brushes, they are a little bit different to other brands.
EcoTools have a self-proclaimed passion for the environment and creating eco-conscious beauty products runs in their veins. They are dedicated to creating products that perform well, but also use sustainable products. That’s why all their brushes are packaged in reuseable bags and clutches and made with 80% bamboo, 20% cotton fibre. The brushes are also 100% cruelty free!
EcoTools Starter Set
If you’re on the hunt for some affordable stocking fillers, I really think that EcoTools are a good place to start. They have two great sets which each have five brushes and each cost less than £17! Let’s start with the ‘Starter Set’ which retails for £12.99 – it comes packaged in a pretty green and cream bag. The Starter Set aims to give you everything you need for your makeup routine – pitched as a great set for beginners. The brushes in the set include (from left to right below); concealer, lash and brow groomer, eye shading, angled eyeliner and blush.
EcoTools Day To Night Set
The second set is the ‘Day-To-Night-Set’ which retails for £16.99 and comes in a little purse shaped bag. The bag is reinforced to stop your brushes from getting squished. As the name suggests, this set gives you everything you need to take your makeup from day to night. It has a focus on contouring, giving you every brush you need for that perfect sculpted finish. The brushes in this set include (from left to right below); angled face brush, highlighting fan, detailed lip/liner, pointed concealer and eyeshadow.
What’s great about the EcoTools brushes is that they are really soft, they feel beautiful on the skin and they blend makeup beautifully. They are also really lightweight and a really good shape and size (not too big and not too small) which makes them perfect for travel. Lastly, they are really well priced; there are not many brands that can offer you five makeup brushes for £17. They make great presents but they are great no matter what your experience is with makeup.
