The strapline for brand new Drunk Elephant F-Balm is “turn on the night lytes” which is a super cute reference to the electrolyte blend that the mask contains. I have the product here. Find out everything you need to know.

When I received this I literally couldn’t wait to get it on my face. The insert in the packaging says “Dive in and wake up looking dewy and rejuvenated”, and I instantly wanted nothing more than to get to bed!!

What is Drunk Elephant F-Balm?

So DE tell us to think of this mask as an electrolyte nightcap. This should  be used as your final step in your nighttime skincare routine as an overnight skin-quenching mask. Designed to rescue parched, stressed skin, it works to plump and restore the skin’s balance of moisture and hydration levels.

How to Use F-Balm

So as I said, this has been designed to be used as the last step in your skincare for a super surge of overnight hydration. You can pop it on just before you get into bed. DE say to use 4-5 pumps but I think if you are layering over other products, you can probably get away with a couple.

If you are looking for suggested combos, you can layer it over Virgin Marula Oil for an extra shot of moisture. For super gentle exfoliation, use over TLC Framboos.

Also, if you are multi-masking, this would be an excellent repairing step after an acid exfoliating mask, much like the DECREE Weekly Decree Airbrushing Acid & Paste duo that I love.

My Review

Drunk Elephant F-Balm has a gorgeous texture and as you’d expect, it is very hydrating and plumping. It feels instantly soothing, cooling and calming, and makes skin look juicy and plumped up. I used it over the Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Serum and the Marie Reynolds FACE Oil. It didn’t pill at all which is always reassuring.

The next morning, skin is rested, soft and hydrated. Just what we want. It’s a night treatment, but I have been using it during the day on no makeup days for an extra boost. It is a gorgeous product and really delivers. Skin is noticeably juicier the following morning. Love it.
