Dr Sam Bunting’s latest launch is Dr Sam’s Flawless Moisturiser Light, and it has been created to be the perfect trans-seasonal hydration. Here’s what you need to know.
What is Flawless Moisturiser Light?
Sam says that 60% of us have a combination skin type – this is an oilier t-zone with driers cheek areas. The contrast between those two areas can increase when seasons, cycles or timezones change. To tackle this, and also what Sam calls ‘moisturiser fear’, Dr Sam’s Flawless Moisturiser Light was created.
- Powered by a combination of humectants, occlusives & barrier supporting ceramides
- Lightweight formula
- Cream-gel texture
- Glides effortlessly over the skin
- Absorbs quickly with no sticky feel
- Perfect base for sunscreen and makeup

The Ceramides are key to this formulation because they are vital for building and maintaning a healthy barrier. Ceramides are like the cement that keeps your skin cells together, and Ceramide levels in the skin start to decline in your 30s by about 40%, which is terrifying! Also, ceramides have been found to be deficient in skin conditions like acne and rosacea, making them even more vital for healthy skin function.
And if you use Retinol, Ceramides are great for helping the skin tolerate that better.

The texture of the new Flawless Moisturiser Light is really lovely. Personally, in spite of my combination skin, I tend to love a rich cream, however, this feels super hydrating, comfortable, and nourishing enough for my skin. It isn’t a wishy-washy formula, it has substance, yet it sinks in super fast. I think this will be perfect for daytime use and makes a great base for makeup.

Where to buy Dr Sam’s Flawless Moisturiser Light?

This moisturiser sounds like it would be perfect for my skin. As I’m getting older, my skin doesn’t seem quite so oily anymore and when the weather gets colder and I’m constantly around central heating, my skin can dry out pretty fast. So, this sounds like it could be the perfect product for me, especially as we’re coming into the colder months now. Thanks for sharing!
