I was really curious when I was invited along to the launch for Dr Lewinn’s Skin Perfect Foundation as, in spite of their rather extensive skincare range, I really only associate them with nail strengthening products.
I have to say, I do like their anti-ageing skincare, particularly the Cosmetic Lift which is on my list to get, and so the idea of their anti-ageing foundation was very appealing. I think they ‘get’ the whole ageing thing!
So here it is, the Dr Lewinn’s Skin Perfect Anti-Ageing Foundation.

Keep reading for some swatches, what it looks like on my skin, and using the darker shade as a bronzer.

In terms of the anti-ageing aspect, the Dr Lewinn’s Skin Perfect says it “visibly smooths wrinkles and fine lines, hydrates and protects from ageing” with:
  • Rose Stem Cells to Renew & Stimulate Skin
  • Matrixyl Synthe’6 to enhance skin collagen
  • Tourmaline  to boost radiance
It is obviously too soon to judge any long term results, but as far as I am concerned, any makeup products with even just a hint of anti-ageing and skincare benefits are OK with me!
So on to what is looks like, which is what we’re all interested in.

I really love the finish on my skin. It feels velvety matte but has a beautiful radiance to it. I’d say it is medium yet buildable coverage.

I am fake tan free at the moment (completely unplanned and not by choice just laziness!) so to warm up my complexion the MUA used a darker shade on me as a bronzer. I have used Sable here on the cheekbones and temples and where I would normally bronze.

Again, I applied it with the Dr Lewinn’s Skin Perfect makeup brush and then blended it in with my Real Techniques buffing brush. I think this is a beautiful effect. I am definitely going to use this technique going forward – it is so natural looking and a great way to use foundations you have that are too dark. Bit of a TOP TIP there!!

Really, really impressed with this foundation. It lasted beautifully on my skin and still looked lovely when the time came to take it off for bed.
