Oh my! Just when you thought something had been done, then an absolutely stunning new line comes along that makes you remember how amazing the beauty industry is and that there’s always something newer and something better in the pipeline. Well that is how I feel about the brand new Dolce Matte Lipstick line up. This formula and the shade range, which is all about the reds, is beyond fabulous!

So this is RED according to Dolce&Gabbana and there’s a whole range of tones to meet a whole range of red desires including warm, cold, dark and bright.

The matte finish of these lipsticks is absolutely incredible! It grips to the lips but doesn’t drag, it is creamy without slip and it’s matte but not flat. These lipsticks are SO good!

Dolce Matte Lipstick is the brand’s first matte lipstick and they have completely nailed it. The pigmentation is serious – one swipe gives you perfectly opaque coverage, yet it feels soft on the lips, and hydrating not drying. The finish is velvet.

The firm texture of the lipstick makes it possible to define the lips really easily and it’s an absolute cinch to apply which is a rarity for such a densely pigmented product. This is thanks to a new shape tip which is perfectly rounded to fit the contours of the lips.

I think you will appreciate the amazing pigmentation and beautiful velvety finish when you look at these reds.
605 Fire:

531 Heart:

624 Lover:

629 Passion:

643 Desire:

333 Inferno:

And on top of the fact that the formulation and shade range is entirely stunning, the packaging is super chic and feels so good in the hand.

I am so impressed with these lipsticks and would wear each of these shades, perhaps with the exception of Dolce Inferno which is a step too far on the statement making front for me. I think that one would be beautiful on darker skin tones however.
The wear is great. I practically had to scrub these off, and even after 6 fast colour changes in succession, my lips still felt smooth and soft, and not at all dry. My favourite is Passion I think, and I have had that on for a good few hours and it’s so comfortable.
Dolce & Gabbana Dolce Matte Lipsticks are £32 each and available in the links button below. If you love a matte lip, then you need to try these. I may just prefer them to the Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution lipsticks! Now you just have to find your red!

Wow! Those must have cost you a fortune! Do you know if the other shades will be available eventually? Or where we can get them? Thanks.
The shades I have are the ones available in the UK. The other shades are all location specific at the moment.
Those colors are very pretty on you…. do you know if they’re being released in that cute storage case?
I am not sure, but I doubt it. Will try and find out for you!
Love the bright one. Will definitely be purchasing!
Did you use a lip liner with any of these?
No liner although they are launching new ones. I personally don’t think you need them with this formula x
Thank you! 🙂
