Now! As far as I remember I have never tried a foundation from Dolce and Gabbana  – and if I can’t remember it, then it didn’t happen! So, trying my first ever D&G foundation was incredibly exciting!! It really was! Here’s the lowdown on Dolce and Gabbana Lift Foundation.

Basically, the bottom line is, this foundation is big on skincare and the first thing I have to say about it is that I have been wearing it today and  my skin feels so soft!

Dolce and Gabbana Lift Foundation – The Formulation

This promises to be a high performance foundation with special skincare moisturising porperties with anti-ageing benefits. Gold Flavo-Silk Tricomplex with extracts of Gold Silk Sericin, Italian Olive Oil and Vitamin B3 to moisturise, smooth and reduce lines & wrinkles in 4 weeks:

• Gold Silk Sericin – mix of amino acids & poly-peptides to increase moisture in the top layers of the skin
• Italian Olive Oil – strengthens the top layers of the skin’s structure
• Vitamin B3 – to enhance moisture, & increase the rate of exfoliation & barrier repair

The Lift Foundation promises to instantly hydrate the skin, smooth the texture and plump the surface. It also will cover and conceal darks spots, blemishes and redness, with full long lasting coverage.

The texture is beautifully smooth and creamy yet very light feeling. I applied it to my skin with my fingers and it blended in really easily, just melting in.  It feels beautiful – incredibly smoothing and softening, and this feeling stayed until I removed it in the evening.

The finish is just gorgeous in terms of how it feels on the skin and how it looks. It neutralises the redness, covers pigmentation spots and gives the skin a plumped up look. I think it really softens my lines around my eyes and give a real ‘lit from within’ glow. Yet it still looks like I am not really wearing anything on my skin.

I think this is a great foundation. Love it! And when I touched my skin… it felt sooo soft and hydrated.
