Apart from the fact that this packaging is absolutely stunning, I am pretty excited about the new DIOR Forever Cushion Powder because the finish is lovely and it isn’t at all powdery!

This is a brand new release from DIOR and it is particularly interesting to me because it promises skincare benefits. It is ultra-fine in texture which I love.

The Shades

The Dior Forever Cushion Powder is available in a range of 5 shades, each developed to match all different skin tones. You can opt for a tone-on-tone match with Fair, Light,  Medium or Deep, or go for colour-correcting with the Lavender shade.

I have shade Light and Lavender to show you, and love them both.

If you need to colour correct, then go for Lavender. It is completely invisible and amazing if you want to add a bit of brightness.

I have also been using shade Light to set my foundation in any areas that I don’t want to shine. Again, it’s invisible it terms of colour and texture, as the powder is so fine.

My Review

If you’re regular here, you will know I am not a huge fan of powder. I love the dewy look, and tend to reserve powder for just the oiliest parts of my face if I really want my foundation to last and last.

What I like about the Forever Cushion Powder is the texture and how feather-light the formula is. The powder is ultra-fine, and thanks to its 25% water infusion, it feels refreshing and almost like skincare as it is applied.

The compact’s meshing ensures that you never over apply, and the powder puff always seems pick up the ideal dose to press into the skin in  the places you want to set. It gives a very diffused matte look that retains the skin’s natural luminosity, so you never look too matte, or flat.

I was having trouble with a mascara that was transferring on to my lids when I used a dewy base, so I set the whole eye area invisibly with the Lavender shade, and it fixed the problem. It’s also amazing on the look of pores and works to enhance the flawlessness of any base.

It’s no surprise that I am absolutely obsessed with the packaging. It is stunning. I can’t wait until I can use it out and about for mirror checks and shine control.

Super glam and seriously chic, the quilting looks so good. I have never seen a cushion compact looking better than this!
