I am a big fan of Dior lip products so I was super excited to try out the new Dior Addict Stellar Halo Shine Lipsticks and the Stellar Lip Glosses. I have them here to show you with all the details, photos and swatches.

It seems like summer’s lips are all very shiny, and I am very happy about it. I do love a matte lip, I must confess, but there is something so appealing and feminine about a glossy finish that I am about ready to wholeheartedly embrace shine again.

Loads of brands are launching high shine lip colour right now, with the exception of the new Tilbury Love Filter lipsticks, which are in one of the very best matte formulations. I think there’s room for both isn’t there?!

What is Dior Addict Stellar Halo Shine?

So this new lipstick is the Dior lip shine with a star that goes right down the centre of the bullet.

I really like this formula. It is soft and silky and feels instantly hydrating on the lips, giving a gorgeously flattering finish. I think there is an obvious comparison to the new Fenty Beauty Slip Shine Lipsticks which I adore. The Fenty has an unmistakable buttery feel on the lips which Dior doesn’t, and so I prefer the feel of the Fenty range. In terms of shades, I love eight out of ten of the Fenty collection. They really are my kind of shades.

The Dior shade range is more intense, so if you like a bit more colour, it could have the edge for you. And you can’t beat the luxe feeling of a Dior lipstick.

The other element to this collection is a gloss and an absolutely gorgeous one at that. It is dubbed as a balm lip gloss that delivers plumping shine and 24 hour hydration. I love these glosses, and for me, they have the edge on the lipsticks.

Dior Addict Stellar Gloss Lip Swatches

I love this gloss formula. It is super creamy and cushiony and literally glides on to the lips in one swipe. I love these three colours and I think my favourite shade is J’Adior. It’s such a beautiful colour and very similar to one of my favourite Fenty Slip Shine shades, Makeout Break. So if you like the look of that one, but not the price tag, the fenty is almost £10 cheaper.
