Globally launching this September, the new Dermalogica Phyto Replenish Oil is a super light facial oil that will strengthen and restore the skin’s natural protective barrier. In addition, it will shield against environmental stressors, smooth visible lines and lock in moisture for all-day dewy skin.
Why Dermalogica Phyto Replenish Oil?
As the oil is comprised of plant-based active ingredients, it can be used daily to replenish depleted lipids and deliver the luminous glow we all crave. For those of us who aren’t dermatologists, lipids are the natural protective oils which help to preserve the skin’s protective barrier and maintain a youthful appearance.
Unfortunately, these oils diminish with age and can lead to your skin looking a little lacklustre. While young adult skin can restore its natural barrier lipids in a few days, mature skin can take over a week. This is why products like this oil are so important to incorporate into your skincare routine, whatever your age.
How To Use Dermalogica Phyto Replenish Oil
With Camellia japonica, Tamanu oil, Chia seed oil, Orchid flower extract, Hyaluronic acid, Sunflower seed oil and Rice bran oil, this oil certainly smells amazing! I love using skincare products that feel like they could be spa treatments. This oil is definitely one of those. After cleansing you press four to six drops into your skin before applying your moisturiser. Alternatively, you can mix it into your moisturiser. You can also mix it with an SPF or your primer for an extra glow underneath your makeup.
There’s so many ways to use this oil, and having tried it myself, it’s now a firm favourite in my morning skincare routine. I really haven’t used any other oils that deliver the kind of subtle, yet healthy glow that this one does. It is a little pricey but you really don’t need a lot of this oil, so it should last at least six to nine months.
The Phyto Replenish Oil (£56.20) is available from 1st September. Find Dermalogica HERE
