Clinique Superbalanced Powder Bronzer

Being a natural super paley, I have always loved a bit of bronzer. In the old days I probably loved it too much but luckily I have burnt all the photographic evidence of those makeup crimes! I hope!!

These days, I use bronzer to add subtle warmth to my pale skin, and for a bit of contouring to give me the cheekbones I never had.

Superbalanced Powder Bronzer is a brand new addition to Clinique’s portfolio. I get on really well with Clinique’s Super Balanced Makeup -you can check out the event where I was matched with my perfect foundation here – so I was keen to give this bronzer a go.

The ‘Superbalanced’ technology, which works to maintain the skin’s moisture whilst simultaneously controlling oil, is used in this bronzer which makes it the perfect Summer product.
The bronzer is actually a pressed powder, but with a small twist of the pot, fresh loose powder is shaved off and you can prepare just the amount you wish to use.

The powder is super soft and fine and really blendable. I used the lighter of the two shades, Bronzed 1, to add natural looking warmth and contour to my face. I actually used it in place of powder and it lasted well all day.
And this isn’t just a bronzer. It contains:
  • Moisturising ingredients -Phytosqualane and Murumuru Butter – which are activated upon shaving
  • Minerals – Magnesium, Calcium, Potassium and Zinc – promote healthy skin and absorb oil and shine
  • Antioxidants – Vitamin E and C – to protect skin from environmental damage
  • Special 3-D contouring system composed of “layered platelets and spherical shaped particles that optically resurface the skin by reflecting light”.
It’s a busy product! Do you think if I gave it a broom it would sweep for me too?!
I think I shall be using this all Summer long! And I love the fact that I can grate the product as I need it so it feels super clean and fresh.
The Clinique Superbalanced Powder Bronzer is available at Clinique counters nationwide from 4th May 2012 and will cost £25.

Have you tried Clinique’s Superbalanced range? Do you like to bronze?

  • I am naturally very pale and have always had trouble finding a nice bronzer. I don’t want any hint of sparkle so that limits me a bit.

The last one I tried was the Bare Escentuals one which was a little heavy but a good colour. I mixed it with some mineral veil which helped a lot.

I might give this one a try, I like the idea of it not being a totally loose powder.
