As a fan of the iconic Cheek Pop formula, I literally couldn’t wait to test the brand new Clinique Powder Pop Flower Bronzer and Highlighter in Solar Pop and Luna Pop. I have all the info here with photos and swatches. Enjoy.

So 2020 really is becoming the year of the bronzer isn’t it? I honestly don’t think I remember another time when so many new ones launched all at once. Obviously with summer on its way, it is the perfect time but this really does seem a lot! The problem is, there are some many good ones and they are are different.
Check out my Best Bronzers 2020 post to find the right one for you.
I am obsessed with Guerlain’s Terracotta Nude which sells out every time there’s a restock and I am also very excited about the umcoming launch of the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Bronzer. In spite of those two, I was still desperate to have the Clinique Powder Pop one (and its matching highlighter) because my love for the Cheek Pop formula (groundbreaking at its time in 2014) is strong.

There has been a lot of reader excitement for this duo, so I am super excited to share my thoughts.

Don’t they just look so beautiful?
My Review
Both the bronzer and highlighter use the gorgeous longwearing gel-powder formula that works so beautifully with the cheek pops.
With the bonzer, this means a soft shimmer-free finish finish that blends seamlessly on the skin. The gel-powder technology gives the formula a sheen that just looks so healthy and glowy without even the slightest hint of glitter or shimmer.
It has a really lightweight silky texture. The colour goes on so smoothly as a beautiful wash of sheer colour and the finish is super flattering on the compexion.

The highlighter has the same gel-powder formulation and also is enriched luminescent pearls that claim to adjust to your skin’s undertone. It is a stunning soft champagne shade that applies like a powder but has the appearance of a creamy liquid highighter with a softly satin finish.

Again it’s not sparkly or shimmering – yet it gives the skin a gorgeously smooth looking luminosity. You will be pleased to hear that it doesn’t emphasise texture.
