This new moisturiser from Clinique is promising to be a super hydrating filter in a pot. Now who isn’t interested in that?! Here are the details on Clinique Pep Start HydroBlur Moisturiser.

I am loving the packaging. It doesn’t look anything like Clinique but it makes a refreshing change and the bright colour is great.
Clinique Pep Start HydroBlur Moisturiser Features

- Innovative formula delivers matte moisturisation
- All day hydrator with Trehalose, Sodium Hyaluronate & Glycerin
- Defends against free radicals with Vitamin E
- Peptide boosts collagen production to diminish wrinkles over time
- Madagascan plant extract inhibits the enzyme that weakens skin as you age
- Preps skin for makeup
- Blurs imperfections such as fine lines and wrinkles
- Controls oil using a seaweed extract that prevents oil building up in the pores
- Blends of Algaes calm and soothe the skin
- Leaves skin with a soft velvet finish

As you apply Clinique Pep Start HydroBlur it feels so fresh and cooling. There’s no silicone feel that you often associate with blurring products, it feels very hydrating and delivers a velvet finish on the skin. I think this is perfect for combination or oily skins but also I have heard good feedback from the US from those with dry skin too.

Although it is clearly designed for day, and as more of a makeup primer, I actually tried it overnight to test whether it offered my skin enough hydration as a moisturiser. Although it doesn’t have that ultra-creamy luxurious feel of a night cream, my skin was adequately hydrated in the morning.
I am going to be testing this on my face today. I have high hopes and it definitely does work to blur the appearance of imperfections, particularly pores, which always makes me happy! You can see some reviews from consumers in the US here.
Clinique Pep Start HydroBlur Moisturiser is £24.50 and is available exclusively here in the UK. It goes nationwide from October. It is available HERE in the US.

Do you have a full ingredients list? Because of the effects it sounds like it might be quite heavy on the silicone base but hoping not if its aim is to reduce blocked pores.
Thanks 🙂
I’m afraid I don’t as my sample didn’t come in a box. So sorry x
Yep, it’s silicone-heavy. There’s a photo of the ingredients on the box here: http://www.musingsofamuse.com/2016/06/clinique-pep-start-hydroblur-moisturizer-review.html
